FUP arrests six people at Sarajevo Tobacco Factory

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Federal Police Administration officers, under the supervision of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Sarajevo Canton, have begun implementing an operation codenamed "FDS" in the area of the mentioned Canton, related to the criminal offense of "Criminal Association" from Article 340, in conjunction with the criminal offense of "Theft" from Article 286 of the Criminal Code of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

- As part of the mentioned operation, and by orders of the Municipal Court in Sarajevo, searches of residential buildings at several locations in the Sarajevo Canton area are being conducted, and so far six individuals with initials A.S. (1968), K.M. (1975), S.P. (1978), N.B. (1976), A.M. (1965), and M.J. (1981) have been deprived of liberty, who are linked to the aforementioned criminal offenses.

During the searches, a large quantity of tobacco, cigarettes, and tobacco products has been found and seized so far, as well as a large amount of money, firearms, mobile phones, SIM cards, and other items originating from or related to the criminal offense in question - stated the FUP.

The individuals deprived of liberty are being taken to the official premises of the Federal Police Administration for criminal processing, after which they will be handed over to the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Sarajevo Canton within the legal deadline, along with a report on the committed criminal offense.

Members of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton are providing assistance during the searches.
