FUP: Police officer who killed a girl suspended

Federal Police Administration police officer Haris Tabaković (1971) last night around 10:50 PM in Sarajevo, after a brief verbal argument with B.F. (1966), used a firearm and took her life. Death was confirmed at the scene by a doctor from the Sarajevo Canton Emergency Medical Service.

- T.H. was deprived of liberty and brought to the official premises of the Sarajevo Canton Ministry of Internal Affairs due to the existence of grounds for suspicion that he committed the criminal offense of Murder under Article 166 of the Criminal Code of FBiH. The Professional Standards Unit of the Federal Police Administration, in accordance with the Law on Police Officers of the Federation of BiH, has initiated an internal procedure against the said police officer - it was announced from the FUP.

Considering that a serious crime has been committed and an irreparable loss has been inflicted on the family of the murdered person, as well as the damage to the reputation of the honorable police profession for the entire police structure of FBiH, the Director of the Federal Police Administration has made a decision on suspension, and the procedure for making a decision on the termination of employment for the named police officer is underway.
