(Patria) - Federal Minister of Internal Affairs Ramo Isak and Deputy Director of the Federal Police Administration Ensad Korman today sent a letter to the police administrations of cantonal ministries of internal affairs with the aim of additional engagement of all available police capacities, and encouraging cooperation between competent institutions and citizens.
"Dear citizens, the unfortunate and horrific events that occurred in the Republic of Serbia, in which innocent children and an employee of the 'Vladislav Ribnikar' school in Belgrade lost their lives, at the hands of a boy their age, the mass murder committed by a twenty-year-old in Mladenovac, as well as the fact that officers of the Federal Police Administration yesterday apprehended an eighteen-year-old young man from Bihać who was threatening on social networks to commit a massacre at the Economic School in Bihać, have caused insecurity and fear among the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The additional engagement includes an increased presence of police officers around schools, kindergartens, on public transport, at places where minors and teenagers gather, as well as active monitoring of social networks and forums, where information can be gathered about individuals who support this or a similar type of violence, as well as other activities aimed at preventing the commission of such criminal offenses.
The Federal Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Federal Police Administration will provide all necessary assistance with their material-technical and personnel capacities, in order to raise the level of security in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the highest possible level and prevent individuals from committing criminal offenses, which we have witnessed in the past few days," stated the FUP.
