FUP and MUP KS conducted operation Rez: 13 locations searched

Police officers of the Federal Police Administration of the Federal Ministry of Interior, acting on a warrant from the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, with the heavy involvement of the Special Police Unit of the FUP and under the supervision of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH, began on December 22, 2015, in the early morning hours, the implementation of the operational action code-named „REZ“.

In the area of the Sarajevo Canton, 11 persons were deprived of liberty who are linked to the criminal offenses of terrorism, financing of terrorism, incitement and preparation of a criminal offense, as well as inducing persons to go to foreign battlefields. Also, they are linked to violations of the Law on Freedom of Religion and the Legal Position of Churches and Religious Communities in BiH.

Searches of facilities at 13 locations in the area of the Sarajevo Canton are underway. The persons deprived of liberty will be brought to the official premises of the Federal Police Administration for further criminal investigation, and they will be handed over to the Prosecutor's Office of BiH within the legal deadline, along with a Report on the committed criminal offense and the perpetrators.
