FUP: Arrest in Konjic, drugs and weapons found

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Federal Police Administration officers yesterday, under the supervision of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Herzegovina-Neretva Canton – Konjic Regional Prosecutor's Office, took into custody an individual identified as A.K. (born 1991) from the Konjic municipality, suspected of committing the criminal offenses of "Unauthorized Production and Trafficking of Narcotic Drugs" under Article 238, Paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the criminal offense of "Unauthorized Acquisition, Possession, or Sale of Weapons or Essential Parts for Weapons" under Article 65 of the Law on Weapons and Ammunition in the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton.

As part of these activities, and pursuant to an Order from the Municipal Court in Konjic, a search was conducted of the movable and immovable property used by the suspect. In the suspect's yard, 14 plants of an unknown species resembling the narcotic drug "Cannabis" were found, along with a pistol with three rounds, a certain amount of green herbal matter, unknown seeds resembling "Cannabis" plant seeds, a precision scale, a mobile phone, and other items originating from or related to the criminal offenses.

The arrested individual was processed by criminal investigators, and a report on the committed criminal offenses will be filed with the competent Prosecutor's Office within the legal timeframe. The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton, Konjic Police Administration, provided assistance to the Federal Police Administration during the operation.
