Recently, the Federal Administration of Civil Protection started using drones as part of the development of operational capabilities in carrying out its field activities, writes the Patria news agency.
Thus, at the FUCZ explosive ordnance disposal range, a quadcopter drone model DJ Phantom 3 Advanced was used to support the disposal operation.

The drone was used in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedures for the disposal of unexploded ordnance of the Federal Administration of Civil Protection, and was used for terrain surveillance and monitoring the possible presence of unauthorized persons in the disposal area for their timely removal from the danger zone, monitoring the immediate surroundings during the disposal itself, and inspecting the terrain after disposal to detect and respond to any potential fire outbreak.
During the implementation of the disposal, the obvious advantages of using this technology became apparent, not only in this but in the implementation of all protection and rescue measures.
The most obvious advantages are that the number of personnel needed to secure the area is reduced, the time for detecting and responding to unforeseen situations is significantly faster, and, most importantly, the exposure of personnel conducting operations is reduced, thereby significantly lowering the risk of any unwanted consequences for them.
