French Prosecutor Claims: Terrorist Brothers Killed with Weapons from the Balkans

French prosecutor Francois Molins revealed that the terrorists responsible for seventeen deaths in France in the past few days were carrying AK-47s, weapons that, according to him, most likely originated from the Balkans, reports the Patria News Agency.

Millions of automatic weapons from the war, such as those in Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Kosovo, have been stolen, sold, and transported to clients in Southern Europe, and a large portion of these weapons have ended up in France, writes Gunpolicy.org.

It is estimated that there are 10 to 20 million illegal weapons in France, and they can be purchased there, as well as throughout the EU, in the Balkans. Specifically, while in some countries an AK-47 will cost between 1,000 and 1,100 euros, a Kalashnikov can be bought in Albania for 50 euros, writes the International Business Times.
