(Patria) - French Prime Minister Gabriel Attal offered his resignation yesterday.
After it was determined that no party would be able to form a majority government, Attal said he would step down.
- Although the predicted results were three times better, this does not mean it is a majority. True to the republican tradition, I will step down tomorrow morning - Attal announced.
Attal is in the same party as Macron, which is expected to win between 150 and 170 seats in the National Assembly.
- I am considering my duty to respect the sovereignty of the people. Ladies and gentlemen, a new era is coming tonight. As for me, it begins tomorrow - Attal stated yesterday.
