Fra Mile Babić: Everyone attacking Komšić is less legitimate than him

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Everyone attacking Željko Komšić is less legitimate than him - said Fra Mile Babić, a theologian, speaking to  N1 about the newly elected member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina from the Croatian people.

As a role of religion, he emphasized that "they must be a critical, moral and humanistic corrective to our policies." He then stressed:

"If religions are mere followers of national policies, then they betray their principles. Our collectives are driven by egoism. Religion should unite. When faith is mentioned, it is trust in people who are different from us. Religions should connect those whom others cannot connect."

He believes that "the nationalist paradigm has brought only poverty, misery, and that we are the last hole in the world."

According to him, Serbs and Croats in Bosnia and Herzegovina should not have a subservient relationship towards Serbia and Croatia.

Speaking to N1, he commented on the amendments to the Election Law and the election of Željko Komšić as a member of the BiH Presidency from the Croatian people.

"Brussels said that you cannot change politics in Bosnia and Herzegovina through obstruction. Let them offer a new Election Law. But the law they are offering indicates that we Croats in Sarajevo and Tuzla cannot be elected, they can only vote. Thus, they introduce inequality among Croats," said Fra Babić.
