Forto in Turkey: Direct Sarajevo - Ankara flight route soon

(Patria) - Minister of Communications and Transport of Bosnia and Herzegovina Edin Forto met today in Istanbul with the Minister of Transport and Infrastructure of the Republic of Turkey Abdulkadir Uraloğluu.

They discussed the improvement of bilateral cooperation in the field of transport infrastructure, with a focus on road and rail transport, as well as the development of digitalization.

Special emphasis was placed on the development of air traffic and the soon-to-be-established direct Sarajevo - Ankara flight route, which represents a new step forward in connecting the two countries.

- Turkey is an important economic partner of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and our goal is to strengthen the cooperation between our two countries. The direct Sarajevo - Ankara route, which we expect soon, is precisely a concrete step in that direction - said Forto.

He extended an invitation to Minister Uraloğluu to visit Bosnia and Herzegovina, which was accepted, and the visit is expected by the summer of this year at the latest.

On that occasion, meetings with Bosnian-Herzegovinian businessmen are also planned with the aim of further improving economic cooperation and defining concrete infrastructure projects.
