Forto presented five conclusions: Found up to 300 million KM in debt in public companies

(Patria) - Prime Minister Edin Forto stated after an extraordinary session of the Sarajevo Canton Government on the operations of public companies that five conclusions were adopted. Forto emphasized that they discussed a financial crater between 200 and 300 million KM that they found in public companies.

The Prime Minister then presented the five conclusions of the Sarajevo Canton Government and upcoming tasks:

1. The Ministry of Justice to hold a meeting with the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office, focusing on all criminal charges related to Sarajevo Canton.

2. Within the next 45 days, initiate the procedure for the law on public company management.

3. Strengthening of the inspection services

4. Strengthening of the legal representation

5. Strengthening of the criminal police within the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton

When asked by journalists whether the procurement of a helicopter for 30 million KM is a necessary item in such a situation, the Prime Minister said that it is one of the 300 measures signed by the 'six-party coalition' and that the price is a matter of public procurement.

"We cannot just service these craters. We must strengthen security, which the helicopter procurement certainly contributes to, as well as invest in other things that will make citizens' lives easier," said Forto.

Forto said that the reason for the session was a letter sent by the Tax Administration of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. He stated that the tax debt of institutions and companies in Sarajevo Canton amounts to 165 million KM.
