The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska has formed the "Ferhadija" 2016 Security Headquarters, tasked with preparing a security plan and undertaking immediate operational-tactical measures to secure the opening of the Ferhat Pasha Mosque on May 7 in Banja Luka, reports the BiH news agency Patria.
Considering the specific nature of this event, namely the expected arrival of a large number of citizens from all parts of BiH and the region, and that authorities not only from BiH but also from wider areas are expected to attend, the RS MUP Headquarters has included representatives of other police agencies in BiH in its work (Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies of BiH, Border Police of BiH, Agency for Investigations and Protection of BiH, OSA BiH, FBiH MUP, and cantonal MUPs).
Based on security assessment elements, the Headquarters is planning all necessary activities for physical, operational, counter-sabotage, traffic, and all other forms of security to ensure a safe and smooth event.
Given that the opening of the Ferhat Pasha Mosque will be covered by a large number of media outlets, journalists are kindly asked to accredit themselves as soon as possible with the Organizational Committee for the Opening of the Ferhat Pasha Mosque, as accreditation will be a condition for unhindered movement.
