Case Formed: Elvedin Begić Being Investigated for Criminal Offense!

The situation in the Football Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina is far from idyllic, and as new information about alleged criminal activities in the football governing body emerges daily, it becomes increasingly difficult to believe the claims made by the top officials of the FA, writes the Patria News Agency.

As we have learned, and as confirmed by the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office, a criminal complaint against the President of the FA BiH, Elvedin Begić, has been received and a case has been formed. 10 days ago, everything was forwarded to the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina for processing.

The complaint relates to irregularities with tickets for the matches of the national football team of Bosnia and Herzegovina. As previously reported, the full amount of cash from ticket sales for the A national team matches, amounting to 550 thousand BAM, was not declared, and undeclared revenue for several matches of other national team selections was also noted.

Earlier, Žurnal reported that the review of outgoing invoices and VAT returns for the match BiH – Lithuania, played on 10/16/2012, did not include cash sales from the ticket office amounting to about 71 thousand BAM, for which VAT of slightly over 10 thousand BAM should have been paid.

There are no outgoing invoices or VAT returns for ticket sales for the match BiH – Greece on 3/22/2013, worth 105 thousand BAM, or an outgoing VAT of about 15 thousand BAM.

For the match BiH – USA, played on 8/14/2013, inspectors noted the absence of a VAT return and recording in the book of sold tickets worth 92 thousand BAM, as well as an incorrect review of received and sold tickets.

According to Žurnal's sources from the FA/FF BiH, the UIO inspectors did not analyze where the difference in revenue ended up, but even in this item, the numbers do not match those from the Association's financial report.

In addition to VIP and complimentary tickets to which sponsors are entitled, additional tickets of this type were printed and distributed, worth about 400 thousand BAM, which resulted in an additional cost of 68 thousand BAM for the Association. Inspectors found certain irregularities for both VIP and complimentary tickets.

-  A review of all marketing contracts concluded that certain contracts included a certain number of match tickets (complimentary and VIP) to be distributed to sponsors within the price. A review of the contracts determined that there are discrepancies between the contracted values and the amounts invoiced and reported in the KIF (book of outgoing invoices). Also, during the control, it was determined that the taxpayer has concluded contracts with other sponsors, which are not listed and for which no invoicing or only partial invoicing has been carried out - stated in the Control Report.

We remind you that the Electoral Assembly of the Football Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina will be held on December 22nd in Ilidža, and the Executive Board (IO) of the FA BiH has already proposed the agenda for the Assembly.

On Thursday, the Football government of BiH is being elected, which further complicates the situation, as the credibility of the Assembly is questionable due to four delegates from BPK.

We remind you that the scheduled electoral session of the Assembly of the FA BPK on 09/21/2016 was supposed to be canceled due to the knowledge of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport and Minister Damir Žuga that the Football Association of BPK Goražde, headed by President Muhidin Raščić, has never re-registered.

According to the provisions of legal regulations and the registration status of FS BPK Goražde, it does not have the right to engage in sports activities, as it has not been registered in the Register with the competent Ministry in accordance with the Law and statute, and therefore carries out its activities illegally.

Most of the stakeholders were shocked by this fact that FS BPK Goražde is actually not legally registered at all!

Now it has been officially announced, and the new re-registration was rejected on December 19th, and the document is, as we have learned, at the FA BiH, but there has been no reaction yet.
