Operational Headquarters Formed to Ensure General Elections

The Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies of BiH has formed the Operational Headquarters for the security of the 2014 General Elections in BiH. Representatives from the Intelligence-Security Agency, Border Police of BiH, State Investigation and Protection Agency, Federal Police Administration, Ministry of Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska, Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton, and Brčko District Police are participating in the operational headquarters, reports the Patria News Agency.

At today's meeting, activities were concretized to ensure the smooth and secure conduct of the elections, relating to the implementation of security measures for facilities, namely the headquarters of the Central Election Commission, the Counting Center and the storage of election materials, as well as the security of the transport of election materials and other activities.

The Operational Headquarters will carry out the aforementioned activities until the completion of the election process.
