Operational Headquarters Formed, Vilić States: This Time We Are Ready for Demonstrations!

Police agencies in BiH today formed an Operational Headquarters due to information about a possible gathering of citizens who wish to mark the anniversary of the February 7th protests, writes the Patria news agency.

- The Headquarters was formed based on the Agreement on Mutual Cooperation between police agencies, signed in June last year. The Headquarters is based at the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies, and its goal is to monitor the security situation and cooperation between agencies - said the Director of the Directorate, Mirsad Vilić.

He added that the Directorate and other agencies have been working on education and additional equipment, and that they are much more prepared this time.

Officials from the Directorate, Border Police, SIPA, Federal Police Administration, and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton are participating in the work of the Operational Headquarters.

Last year, on February 7th, the buildings of the Presidency of BiH and the Government of Sarajevo Canton were set on fire, and two days earlier, the Government of Tuzla Canton also burned.
