DKPT Operational Staff Formed to Conduct Local Elections

A meeting of the "Local Elections 2016" Action Operational Staff was held on Thursday in the premises of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Namely, the Action Operational Staff was formed by the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies of BiH with the aim of coordinating and monitoring the implementation of tasks within the jurisdiction of institutions and police bodies in BiH related to the conduct of Local Elections in Bosnia and Herzegovina, reports the BiH news agency Patria.

In addition to the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies of BiH, which is the coordinator of activities, the Operational Staff includes representatives from the Central Election Commission of BiH, the Ministry of Security of BiH, the State Investigation and Protection Agency, the Border Police of BiH, the Intelligence-Security Agency of BiH, the Police of Brčko District, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska, the Federal Ministry of Internal Affairs, cantonal Ministries of Internal Affairs, and the OSCE as an observer.

The meeting discussed the dynamics of the implementation of regular activities being carried out to ensure the Local Elections in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Future preparatory activities were also agreed upon. The participants agreed that the progress of activities so far has been smooth and according to plan, with the conviction that the Local Elections 2016 in Bosnia and Herzegovina will also pass safely and without incident.
