Organized by the Memorial Fund and the Historical Museum of BiH, on Tuesday, May 10th at 2 PM, the exhibition “World War II Armament“ will be opened in the multimedia hall of the Memorial Fund in Kovači, reports the Patria News Agency.
The exhibition is the result of cooperation between the Memorial Fund and the Historical Museum of BiH, on the occasion of the Sarajevo Canton Days event, and also in remembrance of May 9th, Victory Day over Fascism.
The exhibition presents a completely different angle of presentation, perception, remembrance, and interpretation of World War II, through the prism of armaments and military doctrines used in World War II.
A special touch will be given to the entire exhibition by the workshop „Curator for a Day“, which, despite featuring armaments, aims to emphasize the exhibition's peaceful nature. The goal of the workshop is to show elementary and high school students a new, different approach to armaments, in terms of professional approach, expert processing, developing collecting habits, and through these approaches, encourage them to build peace and stability for all future generations.
The exhibition will be open for visits from 05/11 to 05/24, every working day between 9 AM and 3 PM. The author of the exhibition is Amar Karapuš, curator at the Historical Museum of BiH.
