Finci: Attack on Tauber should not be seen as an attack on Jews

Jakob Finci, President of the Jewish Community in BiH, said that he sincerely hopes that the attack on Eli Tauber is an isolated incident and that it should not be seen as an attack on Jews or a rise in antisemitism, writes the BiH news agency Patria.

- However, when the news appears on portals, you have hundreds of comments that chill the blood, and if that were the opinion of the majority of citizens in BiH, then the situation would be much worse than the one described by Ivo Andrić as a land of hatred – said Finci.

He says that after all these and similar events, the departures of young people from BiH are not surprising and that their reasoning is justified.

- They leave justifying it by saying they want to earn a loaf of bread, but in reality, I fear the situation is much different – said Finci.

We remind you that Tauber was attacked on Saturday evening in a catering facility in the city center, a few meters from his house.
