FILM-LIKE ATTEMPT Police in Mostar prevent drone delivery of mobile phones and drugs to prison

(Patria) - Police officers on Sunday evening prevented an almost film-like attempt to smuggle narcotics and mobile phones by drone into the prison in Mostar, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton reported on Monday.

The drone fell into the yard during the failed delivery attempt. Officers from the Special Operations Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs quickly found the drone after being alerted and prevented the operator from retrieving it outside the prison walls. At the scene, within the prison grounds, along with the device, a number of other items attached to the body of the aircraft were also found.

The unknown perpetrator attempted to smuggle a mobile phone and a USB cable, as well as certain substances in several bags, suspected to be drugs, the police reported.

The duty prosecutor was informed about this unusual attempt, and the police are continuing with investigative actions to identify the perpetrators and shed light on all the circumstances of this imaginative, but unsuccessful, smuggling attempt into the prison.
