Film "I Know What Offside Is" is Worth Watching, Find Out Why on April 2nd at BKC

On Thursday, April 2nd, starting at 8 PM at the Bosnian Cultural Center (BKC) in Sarajevo, organized by the BH Journalists Association and co-organized by the Bosnian Cultural Center (BKC), there will be a public screening of the documentary film "I Know What Offside Is," reports the Patria News Agency.

The documentary film by Arijana Saračević-Helać and Darko Šper, "I Know What Offside Is," is part of the film series "Living Together," dedicated to the civic courage of individuals and positive stories from the recent war in the former Yugoslavia.

Goran Čengić, an athlete and a great man, former SFRY handball representative and long-time player for Bosna and Crvena Zvezda, was killed in Sarajevo's Grbavica in mid-1992 when he tried to save his neighbor, Dr. Husnija Čerimagić. Like Čengić, other top athletes opposed the madness of war. In this film, learn about the heroic deeds of athletes – Goran Čengić, Mirza Delibašić, Krešimir Ćosić, and Dejan Bodiroga.

The focus of all films in the "Living Together" series is on people who remained humane even in the most difficult times, true heroes who, by their own example and lives, testify to the possibility of meeting, not conflict, as well as the possibility of strengthening trust and better understanding in the region, without relativizing or mitigating responsibility for what happened. On the day of the film screening, the broadcast of films from the series will also begin on Federal Television in the evening slot at 10:30 PM.

The documentary films were realized in cooperation with the BH Journalists Association and the Independent Association of Journalists of Vojvodina, and in co-production with Radio-Television Vojvodina, under the auspices of the EU Media Fund. The film's authors and representatives of the two associations will attend the screening, and a debate is planned after the film.

Admission to the film screening is free.
