Film Scream For Me Sarajevo at Ten Festivals in Two Months

Bosnian-Herzegovinian documentary film "Scream For Me Sarajevo", produced by Sarajevo-based production company Prime Time, continues its festival tour after the prestigious RIIFF film festival in the American state of Rhode Island. In just two months, this documentary is being screened at ten film festivals in Europe, Canada, and America, reports Patria agency.

On September 26, the film was screened at the "War Child London" festival in London, after which it received numerous accolades. Oscar winner Simon Egan was particularly impressed, stating: "I just watched the film "Scream For Me Sarajevo". I am delighted and moved to tears! The audience gave the film a standing ovation."

Simon Glinn, director of the London Opera, wrote in his review of the film: "This is an incredible film, brilliantly conceived and deserves a wide audience. It tells us an extraordinary story about the power of music, the best and worst of humanity. Powerful, moving, and full of heroes. Motivating despite the wartime horror in the background."

"Scream For Me Sarajevo", considered one of the most valuable films about the Siege of Sarajevo, follows the events of the arrival of the frontman of the cult metal band Iron Maiden, Bruce Dickinson, and his band in besieged Sarajevo in 1994, when a concert was held at the Bosnian Cultural Center (BKC).

The idea for the film originated from author Jasenko Pašić, while the direction of this documentary was signed by Tarik Hodžić. Prime Time production from Sarajevo, led by producer Adnan Ćuhara, was responsible for the overall realization of the film.

"I was extremely curious how the British audience in London would react to our film, and then I was particularly surprised and delighted by how they accepted the humor of the local and foreign protagonists in the film. The energy that occurred at the screening itself, and afterwards in the conversation with the audience, which lasted for more than an hour, was phenomenal," emphasized the film's producer, Adnan Ćuhara.
