Federal tax inspectors in betting shops: Fines of 61,000 KM issued for irregularities

(Patria) - Inspectors of the Tax Administration of the Federation of BiH, in the area of Sarajevo Canton, Tuzla Canton, Central Bosnia Canton and Zenica-Doboj Canton in the municipalities: Centar, Novi Grad, Stari Grad, Novo Sarajevo, Ilidža, Lukavac, Doboj Istok, Živinice, Tuzla, Kalesija and Banovići, Vitez, Fojnica, Bugojno, Travnik, Gornji Vakuf – Uskoplje, Zenica, Žepče, Visoko and Kakanj, on 17.08.2022, carried out 31 controls of gambling operators.

In the conducted controls, two undeclared workers and 16 taxpayers who did not register turnover through a fiscal device were discovered.

Due to the identified irregularities: employment of undeclared workers, failure to register turnover through a fiscal device, in 34 cases, misdemeanor orders were issued with a total of 60,900.00 KM in fines.

The Tax Administration will continue inspection activities to control the legality of taxpayers' operations and prevent the grey economy in the future and calls on taxpayers with identified irregularities to align their operations and respect the laws so as not to be exposed to sanctions and unnecessary costs.
