Federal Parliamentarians Adjust Government's Proposal: Citizens Will Pay Less for Notary Services

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Reports on the business operations of JP Elektroprivreda BiH and Elektroprivreda HZHB for the years 2015, 2016, and 2017 did not receive the support of representatives in the House of Representatives of the FBiH.

Representatives are discussing information from the Privatization Audit Agency from July 2016 to December 2018. 

Representative Dževad Adžem stated that the EU, in all its reports, indicates that corruption prevails in BiH. He added that the DF-GS Club will establish more significant contacts with the Agency and, in cooperation with the management of the FBiH Parliament, attempt to introduce certain legal corrections.

Nijaz Helez reminded that the Privatization Audit Law is one of the reform laws from 2012. 

The House of Representatives of the FBiH acknowledged the information from the FBiH Privatization Audit Agency. 

Representatives rejected the Report on the Work of the Federal Employment Bureau for 2017, as well as the Report for 2018. 

The Report on the Work of FERK for 2018 was also rejected, while the Proposal for the Financial Plan of FERK for 2019 received support. 

Then, voting commenced on a set of laws related to notaries.

The Bill on Amendments to the Law on Notaries received significant support from representatives, although there was much criticism during the debate regarding the proposed legal solution, as representatives believed the Government's proposal did not bring about substantive changes. 

With the adopted amendments, according to the representatives' opinion, the Constitutional Court's ruling has been fully implemented. On the other hand, they add, citizens will be freed from numerous levies that were imposed by the previous law. 

Some obligations remain in force, and the Federal Minister of Justice is tasked with creating a new tariff system. 

Support was also given to the Bill on Amendments to the Law on Registration of Business Entities in FBiH, the Bill on Amendments to the Law on Real Rights, the Bill on Amendments to the FBiH Family Law, as well as the Bill on Amendments to the FBiH Cadastral Records Law. Amendments were proposed for each legal solution, and the Government accepted some of them, which will become an integral part of the Laws.

Representatives are currently considering the reports on the work of the FBiH Ministry of Internal Affairs and information on the security situation.
