FBiH: Higher exports and imports in September, mostly from Croatia and Germany

In September 2014, the Federation of BiH achieved exports worth a total of 529,726 KM, which is 110,501 KM or 26.4% more compared to August this year, and 73,296 KM or 16.1% more compared to September last year, announced the Federal Institute for Statistics, as reported by the Bosnian news agency Patria.

In the same month, imports amounted to 927,833 KM, which is 85,406 KM more compared to August 2014, and 78,341 KM more compared to September last year. The trade deficit of the Federation of BiH for September 2014 amounts to 398,107 KM.

In the period January – September 2014, exports grew on average by 2.2% each month, while imports grew on average by 3.5%.

The import coverage rate by exports is 57.1%, which is 7.3% higher compared to August 2014 when the coverage rate was 49.8%.

According to the classification of activities, in September 2014 the highest export value of 488,117 KM was achieved in the manufacturing industry, accounting for 92.1% of total exports. The highest import value of 844,920 KM was also achieved in the manufacturing industry.

In September, the most exports went to: Germany 95,667 KM, Italy 72,060 KM, Croatia 55,110 KM. Exports to all other countries amount to 306,889 KM. Some of the countries we exported to include Austria, Slovenia, Serbia, Montenegro, Hungary, Czech Republic, Spain...)

In the same month, the most imports came from: Croatia 143,342 KM, Germany 113,905 KM, and Italy 95,570 KM. Imports from all other countries amount to 575,016 KM. Besides these, we imported from China, Serbia, Slovenia, Turkey, Austria, USA, Poland...)
