EXPO Guests in Dubai on December 18, and Businessmen from January to March

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The call for expressions of interest and registration of business entities, tourist communities, and projects for the support package for participation in the World Expo EXPO 2020 Dubai closed at midnight on December 2, 2021.

At its first meeting, held on Wednesday, December 8, the Commission noted that a total of 149 applications were received for the Call, of which 97 were companies, seven were tourist communities, and 45 were projects. The Commission has calculated and scored the online applications for the company and tourist community categories, and the List of business entities that passed the first, elimination phase, was published on the Ministry of Economy's website with today's date, even though it was stated that the second phase would be completed by Friday. According to the announcement released by the KS Government, the deadline for business entities that passed the first phase of the Call to submit the mandatory documentation from point 10 of this Call is December 16, 2021, at the latest, so that the Commission can verify the scores achieved per application in the online application.

Mandatory documentation is submitted scanned to the e-mail address: [email protected], but also by regular mail as indicated in the document at the link. If, after verifying the documents, some of the selected applicants in the second phase do not meet the conditions, the Ministry will invite the applicant with the next highest score on the preliminary list.

"Given that we noticed a number of illogical parameters through the applications, there is a possibility that, if some business entities do not prove or submit valid documentation, they will be automatically disqualified, and the Commission will invite the next ones from the List to proceed with the verification process," the Commission stated.

The Commission notes that all business entities that have passed the elimination phase are obliged to submit the mandatory documentation, and if they fail to do so, they will be automatically disqualified.

"After all documents are verified, we will publish the final list of business entities that have secured the support package under this Call, after which they will be informed of all the necessary details related to the trip to the World Expo EXPO 2020 Dubai," the statement said.

The list of business entities in the projects category will be published by December 15, 2021.

The Ministry also reminds that there will be ample time for the preparation and organization of the departure of our representatives who qualify for support under the Call, given that the selected companies, tourist communities, and projects will have the opportunity to present themselves at Expo 2020 in the period from January to March 2022.

The presentation plan includes a minimum of five days for each industry individually within the mentioned three months, and the detailed plan, i.e., the departure dates of the Bosnian-Herzegovinian representatives, will be specified after the final list of applicants is published.

Interestingly, dozens of guests will be in Dubai on December 18, including some representatives of BiH companies, while the selected companies will exercise their right next year.
