European Parliament discusses the situation in BiH today

(Patria) - The European Parliament will discuss the current political situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina today.

"Secessionist threats in BiH and recent escalation" is the title of the panel dedicated to Bosnia and Herzegovina.

And our country has been placed on the European Parliament's agenda at the initiative of MEP Tineke Strik.

"I am pleased that most political groups have supported my request for a debate in the European Parliament on the situation in BiH.

We urgently need a strong and coordinated EU response to the worrying developments in the country.

Now is the time for Milorad Dodik to be sanctioned for his recent illegal actions, within the EU context or with a coalition of the willing," Strik stated.

She proposed that - if there is no consensus on this issue within the EU - those EU countries that wish to do so should impose sanctions on Dodik.
