(Patria) - A real storm of reactions on social networks was caused by the assessment of Darko Mršić, a political analyst based in Ljubljana, who is close to HDZ BiH circles, after he posted on his Twitter profile and stated that the first move of Borjana Krišto, if she holds the position of BiH Presidency member from the Croat people, should be the dismissal of Ambassador Martina Mlinarević, who was appointed by the BiH Presidency member Željko Komšić, unacceptable and intolerable to HDZ circles.
"What did Čović's HDZ do during this mandate? They slandered Martina M. They called Bosniaks jihadists," reads one of the comments from the Twitter social network.
"So there was no better ambassador that I can recall, and they resent you for doing your job properly. Our country is pathetic with people like these," they further state on social networks.
"Dear Martina, no matter what the HDZ mercenaries think and say, you have the support of the citizens of BiH, because you love your/our homeland and work for it. And, scoundrels cannot harm such people. Kind regards from Tuzla, to you and your household.".
"Progressive forces, liberals and social democrats: Horrible, terrible, unacceptable, that's why we will elect Denis Bećirović, and he will convince her with the power of arguments in a conversation with Borjana not to do it! They taught us to talk with the power of arguments, not with the argument of force at the seminar in Termag," cynically states one of the Twitter users, implying that only the re-election of Komšić allows for the re-election of Mlinarević to the ambassadorial post.
Otherwise, Ambassador Martina Mlinarević has particularly fallen out of favor with circles gathered around the HDZ due to her intensive work and support for preserving the memory of the genocide, engaging in a series of activities in that regard. During the pandemic, Mlinarević proved to be one of our most agile ambassadors in assisting our citizens abroad.
As a writer, Martina Mlinarević has also promoted cultural ties between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Czech Republic, and during her mandate, she was decorated by the President of the Republic of Italy, Sergio Mattarella, with one of the highest decorations in that country.
Mlinarević received this significant recognition for promoting women, breast cancer prevention, and the value of dialogue in society.
Mlinarević herself responded to the "provocations" of the HDZ analyst Darko Mršić, based in Slovenia.
- How strong I am! Here, Mr. Mršić, publicly now, if Ms. Krišto wins, on October 2nd at 7 PM, I will resign with all my heart. Unlike HDZ ambassadors who, with the change of government, waited like mice to see if Željko would still keep them. I have honor, after all, Mlinarević wrote.
