BRUSSELS, (Patria) - The European Union called on Russia and Iran on Saturday to help stop possible future chemical attacks by the Syrian government, warning of new economic sanctions.
- The European Union calls on all countries, especially Russia and Iran, to use their influence to prevent the Syrian regime from using chemical weapons in the future - the EU statement said.
It also recalled that the EU imposed sanctions on Syria in July 2017 and March of this year and that it is "always ready to consider further measures".
