Esed Radeljaš, Damir Hadžić and others acquitted of abuse of office charges

(Patria) - Esed Radeljaš, Damir Hadžić and others have been acquitted of abuse of office charges. Today, the Cantonal Court in Sarajevo delivered verdicts to the former representative in the Assembly of Sarajevo Canton Esed Radeljaš, former mayor of Novi Grad municipality Damir Hadžić, and municipal officials Jasmina Horo and Jusuf Čaušević for abuse in land allocation.

The indictment of the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office accused them of committing interconnected acts of abuse of official position by illegally conducting the procedure for allocating land to Esed Radeljaš. Subsequently, they illegally conducted the procedure for determining the compensation for the expropriation of land that was previously allocated to Radeljaš.

Damir Hadžić was accused of illegally enabling the payment of over one million marks from the budget of the Novi Grad Municipality to Esed Radeljaš for land, which Radeljaš had paid to the Municipality in the amount of 51,340.00 KM in 2006. Horo was also accused of money laundering.

Esad Radeljaš was also accused of abusing funds from the cantonal budget in the amount of 114,255 KM from 2013 to the end of 2014, as a representative in the Assembly of Sarajevo Canton, intended exclusively for financing the BOSS political party, and directing them to a private account.
