Erić: I was dismissed because I wanted to impose economy over politics

Savo Erić, who was dismissed from the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH four years ago as an SDS MP, told the BiH news agency Patria (NAP) that it is becoming increasingly clear to him that he was dismissed from the PA BiH because he wanted to impose economy over politics in the country.

In 2010, the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina made a decision to terminate Erić's mandate in the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH due to a violation of the Law on Conflict of Interest in BiH Institutions, as Erić is a shareholder in the company “Zvornik putevi“. However, he still believes today that he was dismissed because he was pushing economic issues that could bring prosperity to Bosnia and Herzegovina, which, he says, bothered someone even then.

Bosnia and Herzegovina is doing less and less, or almost nothing, to improve its economy. According to the latest World Bank information, BiH ranks 91st out of 215 countries in terms of GDP growth. Analysts warn that this situation is very bad and that BiH is in an increasingly difficult position. 

Even political analysts warn that the authorities in BiH are more concerned with political rather than economic issues, which is certainly not good. 

- At the time when I was in politics, at least five people around me were exclusively dealing with economic issues. I also wanted the economy to be the priority in BiH, and all other issues to follow. That's why I was dismissed - Erić said.

- The current set of politicians deals, first and foremost, with politics and only then with other issues. That will not get us far – says Erić, writes NAP.
