Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan considers it probable that the Islamic State committed the attack in which at least 30 people were killed and almost 100 injured at a wedding in Gaziantep, a city in southeastern Turkey near the Syrian border, reports the Patria News Agency.
On CNN-Turk, provincial governor Ali Yerlikaya said during the night that the death toll had risen to at least 30, with 94 injured.
Yerlikaya had earlier mentioned a "horrific terrorist attack" likely carried out by a suicide bomber at a wedding.
"We condemn the traitors who organized and carried out this attack," reads a statement from the provincial authorities.
On Sunday morning, Recep Tayyip Erdogan pointed the finger at the Islamic State.
In a statement, the head of state said that he makes "no distinction" between Fethullah Gulen, whom he accuses of organizing the failed military coup on July 15, the Kurdistan Workers' Party, and ISIL, the probable perpetrator of the attack in Gaziantep.
-Our country and our people have another message for you: You will not succeed - Erdogan said.
