Erdogan: More than a thousand Hamas members being treated in Turkey

(Patria) - More than a thousand members of Hamas are currently hospitalized in Turkey, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced yesterday, once again confirming that he does not consider Hamas a terrorist organization.

- So many members of Hamas have been killed. The entire West is attacking them with all kinds of weapons and ammunition - said the Turkish head of state while addressing journalists together with Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.

Erdogan believes that calling Hamas a terrorist organization would be cruel, and notes that Greece and Turkey disagree on this very important issue.

The Turkish president considers Hamas a "resistance movement," and emphasizes that he is saddened by the Greek stance, which is shared by many other Western countries, that it is a terrorist organization.
