(Patria) - Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan spoke with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz about the attacks on Iran and the subsequent conflict that followed.
"Conflicts in our region negatively affect regional and global security. It is important to increase contacts focused on peace and encourage the parties to return to dialogue in order to ensure lasting peace in the region," was the epilogue of the telephone conversation.
NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte also spoke with Erdogan about Iran and the security situation in the region.
"We both agree on the importance of NATO's 360-degree approach to security and that we are always ready to deter and defend against any threat, from any direction," Rutte stated.
