Erdogan sends message regarding floods in BiH: Turkish institutions and organisations are sending aid

(Patria) - Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan sent a message regarding the major floods that hit Bosnia and Herzegovina, Anadolu reports.

"May God have mercy on those who lost their lives in the floods in Bosnia and Herzegovina, a friendly and brotherly country, and I wish a speedy recovery to the injured. We sympathise with our brothers from Bosnia and Herzegovina through our Disaster and Emergency Management Authority of the Republic of Turkey (AFAD), the Red Crescent and the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA)", Erdogan posted on social media.

He added that Turkish institutions and organisations are already delivering aid, which includes urgent needs for shelter and food, to regions affected by floods and landslides, including Jablanica, Konjic and Fojnica.

"In the first phase, we are trying to heal the wounds of our brothers in these difficult days with 96 generators, 60 containers, 168 beds, 84 kitchen sets, 1,050 blankets, 1,130 food packages and meals, two tonnes of flour, ten water evacuation pumps, two pallets of water, hygiene kits, air conditioners, refrigerators and drinking water supply. I extend my sincerest wishes for recovery to our brothers in Bosnia and Herzegovina affected by the floods," Erdogan stated.
