(Patria) - Israel is run by a network that considers itself superior to others and is step by step dragging the region towards catastrophe, warned Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan today.
- We all know that the attacks that first targeted Gaza, then Yemen and Lebanon, and finally Iran, are not exclusively motivated by security reasons - Erdogan said at an iftar at the Presidential Complex in the capital Ankara.
The US and Israel continue their joint offensive on Iran since February 28, with more than 1,200 people killed so far, including the then Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.
Tehran retaliated with drone and missile attacks targeting Israel, as well as Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf countries, which it claims are targeting American military facilities.
Israeli forces also intensified airstrikes and artillery shelling of southern Lebanon since early Tuesday, with a limited ground invasion, according to the Lebanese army and state media outlets.
