Erdogan: I congratulate my friend Donald Trump

(Patria) - President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan congratulated Donald Trump on his victory in the presidential elections in the United States of America (USA) and expressed hope that the new era will bring stronger Turkish-American relations and an end to global crises, primarily the Palestinian issue and the Russian-Ukrainian war.

Erdogan congratulated Trump in a message on social media, after preliminary results showed that the Republican candidate had won the election race for the new US president.

“I congratulate my friend Donald Trump, who after a great struggle won the presidential elections in the United States and was re-elected President of the United States. In this new era, which begins with the choice of the American people, we hope that Turkey-US relations will strengthen and that regional and global crises and wars, especially the Palestinian issue and the Russia-Ukraine war, will come to an end.

I believe that more efforts will be made for a fairer world. I hope that the elections will be beneficial for the friendly and allied people of the USA and all of humanity,” Erdogan said.
