Epidemiologist Jurić still advocates for the introduction of a curfew

SARAJevo, (Patria) - Andrea Jurić, director of the Public Health Institute of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton, says that a curfew should be introduced due to the large number of coronavirus infections.

Jurić commented on the announcements of the Federal Crisis Staff that new measures are being considered.

- It was long past time to take some serious measures, but it is never too late and my position is unchanged. A curfew is the only effective measure if the health system becomes overloaded. Unfortunately, although we have not yet reached the peak, the system has long been overloaded and people are fighting beyond their capabilities. We now have an increasing number of infections in healthcare and, frankly, the question is how long this pace can be sustained. Vaccination is also the best measure to fight the coronavirus – concludes Jurić.
