Elon Musk on track to become the world's first trillionaire

(Patria) - Elon Musk is on track to become the world's first trillionaire, surpassing the one trillion mark, by 2027, according to a new report from a global wealth tracking group.

Just a year later, Gautam Adani from India could join him in the trillionaire club.

The conclusion of the research, conducted by experts from "Informa Connect" academy on the head of electric car manufacturer "Tesla", private rocket company "SpaceX“, and platform X (formerly Twitter), is that Musk's wealth is growing at an average annual rate of 110 percent.

Musk is also the richest person in the world, with assets worth $251 billion, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index.

The analysis conducted by the academy suggests that the founder of the business conglomerate "Adani", Gautam Adani from India, will be the second person on the planet to reach trillionaire status.

Reportedly, this should happen in 2028, if his annual asset growth rate remains at 123 percent.

Jensen Huang, CEO of technology firm "Nvidia", and Prajogo Pangestu, an Indonesian energy and mining mogul, could also become trillionaires in 2028, if their wealth accumulation trajectories are maintained.

Bernard Arnault, head of the LVMH conglomerate, the third richest person in the world with around $200 billion, is on track to reach a trillion by 2030, the same year Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of "Meta", could do so.

Only a few companies have managed to rank among those that have reached a trillion dollars. American holding company "Berkshire Hathaway" topped the list at the end of August, just days before its director Warren Buffett celebrated his 94th birthday.

"Nvidia" joined the trillion-dollar club in May 2023, and in June its value reached three trillion dollars, positioning itself second on the list immediately after the top-ranked "Microsoft", and ahead of third-placed "Apple".

However, the question of who might be the world's first trillionaire has fascinated the public since the world crowned its first billionaire in 1916. It was American John D. Rockefeller, founder and at the time largest shareholder of "Standard Oil" company.

Despite this fascination, many experts view the accumulation of vast wealth as a social disease. According to one report's calculation, the richest one percent of people are responsible for more carbon dioxide emissions than the poorest 66 percent on the planet.
