(Patria) - Several explosions were heard in the Ukrainian capital Kyiv late on Monday, Reuters witnesses said, after an air raid siren sounded, but authorities say that air defense units intercepted incoming missiles.
New explosions were heard half an hour after the initial ones, witnesses said. Serhiy Popko, head of Kyiv's military administration, said that, according to preliminary reports, there was no damage or casualties.
Ukrainian air defense units were active in the city and the surrounding Kyiv region, Kyiv authorities said in statements on Telegram.
