(Patria) - Several powerful explosions occurred today near the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) announced.
Russia's state news agency Tass also reported on Europe's largest nuclear power plant, stating that it was shelled this morning.
It is added that the shells were fired from Ukraine and landed near the dry storage facility, and that "no radioactive emissions were detected".
Renat Karcha, an advisor to the Russian nuclear energy operator Rosenergoatom, said that 15 shells were fired at the power plant's facilities, Tass reported.
