Explosion at Ginex defense industry factory, worker operated on at KCUS

(Patria) - One worker was injured in an explosion that occurred today around 1 PM at the Ginex defense industry factory in Goražde.

This information was confirmed to Faktor by the police spokesperson of the MUP of BPK, Jasenko Hadžić.

- An investigation was conducted by criminal police inspectors, along with a fire inspector. The duty cantonal prosecutor was also informed about the incident, and further work on this event is ongoing - Hadžić stated.

After receiving treatment at the Urgent Center of the Cantonal Hospital in Goražde, the injured worker was transferred to the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo (KCUS), where she underwent surgery.

According to the latest information, she is not in life-threatening condition. The injury is to her hand.

According to unofficial information obtained by Faktor, an explosion also occurred recently at this factory, in which one person was injured.
