Explosion at construction site in Croatia: Worker from Bosnia and Herzegovina injured

(Patria) - Istrian police received two reports of men who sustained serious bodily injuries at work, and as they stated in a statement, in both cases, the men were provided with assistance at the Pula General Hospital where they were kept for further treatment.

The first accident occurred on Friday around 1:30 PM when a 47-year-old man fell from the rear platform of a special vehicle in the Pula area, sustaining injuries and being kept for treatment at the Pula hospital.

The second accident occurred on Saturday around 3:30 PM in Medulin, where a 41-year-old citizen of BiH was performing work at a construction site. While replacing a gas cylinder, an explosion and open flame occurred, engulfing his head and the palms of both hands. He was provided with assistance at the General Hospital, where he was diagnosed with serious bodily injuries due to the burns sustained and was kept for treatment.

The police will conduct an investigation at the scene during the day.
