Explosion near Doboj halts trains, police on the scene

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Rail traffic on sections of the Doboj - Šamac, Doboj - Maglaj and Doboj – Stanari lines was interrupted due to an explosion caused by a technical fault in the system.

As announced by the Doboj Police Administration, on Tuesday it was reported that around five o'clock, an explosion occurred at the "Electric Traction Substation Lipac" in Lipac near Doboj.

"There were no injured persons in the said explosion," the Administration stated.

They added that an investigation was carried out by members of the Doboj 2 Police Station together with an inspector for explosive materials and fire protection affairs of the Doboj Police Administration and an electrical engineering expert, during which they determined that the explosion occurred due to a technical fault in the system.

"The duty prosecutor of the District Public Prosecutor's Office in Doboj has been informed about everything," the police added.
