An explosion near a police station in Gaziantep this morning left 13 people injured, including 9 police officers, while one officer lost his life, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria.
Numerous emergency medical teams and firefighting units arrived at the scene of the explosion. Turkish security forces have taken enhanced security measures in the centre of Gaziantep.
According to Turkish media, the explosion was heard several kilometres away, and was caused by a car bomb left in front of the police station.
