Excursion 2017: Successful Miljacka Riverbank Cleanup Operation

The Municipality of Stari Grad has joined the "Excursion 2017" initiative, involving students from the Bjelave Secondary Medical School, and is helping them raise funds for the entire generation to travel on an excursion.

High school students who want to earn money so that their friends from less fortunate financial backgrounds can also go on the excursion, cleaned the banks of the Miljacka River today.

The operation was carried out under the supervision and with the assistance of the Sport Fishing Association "Miljacka", the Volunteer Fire Department "Vratnik", and employees of the Municipality of Stari Grad. 

Around 80 students collected waste and other garbage along the banks of the Miljacka River and in the Alley of Ambassadors today. The students were also visited by Mayor Ibrahim Hadžibajrić.
