Ecological action Let's join hands – let's clean Trebević

(Patria) - The Peacebuilding Network and the initiative Dirty City Sarajevo, in partnership with the Association of Employees of the American Embassy, as well as the 'Green Team' of the American Embassy, the Association of Mountain Rescue Service Sarajevo, the 'Let’s do it' movement, Let’s Do It Bosnia and Herzegovina, Trash Challenge – Sarajevo, the Brain Drain group, the Association of Youth "Motus Adulescenti" East Sarajevo and KP 'RAD', with the support of KJKP GRAS Sarajevo and the Ministry of Transport of Sarajevo Canton, are organizing an ecological cleaning action "Let's join hands – let's clean Trebević" – "Удружимо руке – очистимо Требевић" on Sunday, October 20.

Due to its position and natural wealth, Trebević is one of the most popular picnic spots in the vicinity of Sarajevo. Surrounded by dense pine forests, Trebević in its untouched nature is an ideal destination for rest and relaxation. Enjoying the riches of Trebević is especially relevant during the winter days when Trebević represents one of the few oases of clean air. Unfortunately, due to the large number of visitors and the lack of proper waste disposal methods, Trebević is overflowing with waste that walkers carelessly discard.

"The cleaning action "Let's join hands – let's clean Trebević" – "Удружимо руке – очистимо Требевић" is an opportunity to raise ecological awareness among the citizens of BiH and a common spirit that we are all responsible partners in preserving nature. Gathering and departure are planned for Sunday, October 20, at 09:00 in front of the National Museum, and gathering on Trebević is at 10:00 on the plateau in front of the Pino hotel.
The preparation and inspection of the terrain were carried out by the competent services 7 days before the action itself, and thus will ensure that the places to be cleaned are safe even for the youngest ones.
