The symbol of Paris, the Eiffel Tower, has been closed to visitors since this morning after a young man with a backpack was spotted climbing the tower, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria.
According to the BBC, an anti-terrorist unit searched the tower but failed to find the young man.
Furthermore, France is one of the countries on alert for a possible terrorist attack.
According to one version, the young man had a parachute in his backpack and intended to jump from the tower. The daily visitor count of the Eiffel Tower is 30,000.
