Judo legends from Russia meet with Minister Osmanović: Good organization in sports is needed for success

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Minister of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina Adil Osmanović received decorated judokas Aslan Sahgirieva and Ilias Iliadis in Sarajevo.

Aslan Sahgiriev is the founder and general manager of the Edelweiss club from Grozny, a club that is the current European club champion, while Ilias Iliadis is the youngest Olympic judo champion in history, a multiple world and European champion, a sports legend, and one of the most significant and popular judokas of today.

Sahgiriev and Iliadis informed Minister Osmanović about the organization of judo in Russia. They emphasized that good organization, along with adequate professional work in clubs, is the path to success.

Minister Osmanović expressed his satisfaction that exceptionally successful athletes visited Bosnia and Herzegovina and shared their knowledge and experience with our sports workers.

- I am convinced that the cooperation you have established will be an additional incentive for the future successes of our judokas - said Osmanović.

The sports delegation from the Russian Federation is visiting Bosnia and Herzegovina as part of the ON1 development project founded by Karim Hebib, whose main goal is the adequate development of judo in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the introduction of judo into the educational system.
