Funeral of Ali Khamenei from July 4 to July 9

(Patria) - The farewell ceremony for Ali Khamenei will be held in Tehran on July 4-5, and the funeral on July 9 in Mashhad, Iranian state media report.

The program will include a farewell ceremony in the capital Tehran on July 4 and 5. After that, commemorations will be held in Tehran on July 6, and in Qom on July 7.

On July 9, Khamenei will be buried at the Imam Reza shrine in Mashhad.

Ali Khamenei was killed in US-Israeli attacks that began on Iran on February 28.

Numerous high-ranking Iranian military commanders and state officials were also killed in those attacks.

A ceasefire brokered by Pakistan came into effect on April 8, and efforts to reach a broader agreement have continued since then.
