Džaferović sends telegram on the occasion of Bob Dole's death: We will forever remember Senator Dole's righteousness

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Šefik Džaferović sent a telegram of condolences on the occasion of the death of former US Senator Bob Dole

"With deep sadness I received the news of the death of Bob Dole, former US Senator and a great friend of Bosnia and Herzegovina. I sympathize with his family and friends in these moments. At a time when many in the international community passively and indifferently watched the brutal aggression against Bosnia and Herzegovina and the genocidal attack on the Bosniak people, Senator Dole, along with his colleagues in the US Congress, was a true voice of justice and conscience of humanity.

His tireless efforts to lift the unjustly imposed arms embargo were a fight for the salvation of civilization which, remaining silent in the face of the suffering of people in Bosnia and Herzegovina, began to slide down the edge of ruin. Senator Dole's righteousness eternally obliges us and we will forever remember him. May he rest in peace," reads the telegram from the BiH Presidency member Šefik Džaferović.
